Refund & cancellation policy
The short version: use your free credits first, because credit packs are not refundable once bought. If a payment goes wrong, we fix it.

Try it free before you pay
A new account gets 20 free credits once it verifies its email address — enough for about 5 sets of video notes, or a mix of notes and AI questions. No card is needed. The free credits are given once, last 90 days and do not refill.
When they run out, nothing is deleted: everything you made stays readable, searchable and exportable. What stops is making new things that cost credits. Typed PDFs, and adding YouTube videos within fair use, stay free.
Please use the free credits first. The refund position below is only reasonable because they come first.
Credit packs and Student Plus are not refundable
Once you buy a credit pack (₹99 for 90 credits; ₹199 for 200 credits; ₹399 for 440 credits; ₹999 for 1,200 credits) or Student Plus (₹499 for 6 months or ₹799 for a year), the payment is final. We do not refund because you changed your mind, stopped studying, did not use as many credits as you expected, or no longer need them.
The reason is that each credit pays for real costs the moment you use it: when you make notes we pay an AI provider to read the whole lecture, and when you add a video we pay to fetch its captions.
When credits expire
- Credits you buy never expire — from a pack or included with Student Plus.
- Free credits last 90 days; free credits you still hold when you first buy stop expiring too.
- Student Plus runs for the time you bought and does not renew. When it ends you are back on the Free plan and nothing you made is deleted.
When we do refund
These are failures on our side, and we refund them in full:
- You were charged twice for the same pack.
- Money was taken but the credits never arrived — you paid and your balance has not changed after a day.
- You were charged without authorising it.
- We close your account for a reason that is not your fault — we refund the credits you had not used, in proportion to what you paid for them.
- We withdraw the service while you still have bought credits — we refund the unused credits in the same way.
A video having no captions, a lecture longer than the two-hour limit, or an AI answer you disagree with are not failures of this kind. The first two are refused before any credits are taken, and the third is covered in our terms.
How to ask for one
Email support@learnmap.in from the address on your account, within 7 days of the charge, with the date and amount and what went wrong.
We reply within 3 working days. An approved refund is sent back to the card or account you paid from — we cannot send it anywhere else — and usually appears within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank.
Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel. A credit pack is a single payment. It does not renew, we do not store your card, and nothing more is ever charged unless you buy again yourself.
You can stop using LearnMap whenever you like. If you want the account closed altogether, email support@learnmap.in from the address on the account and we will close it. Closing an account early does not refund unused credits.
Paid classrooms
A paid classroom is taught by an independent lecturer who publishes it on LearnMap. You pay LearnMap, and we pay the lecturer. The price and the length of access — for example ₹499 for six months — are shown on the classroom's page before you pay, and what you buy is access to that one classroom for that length of time.
The same rule applies as to the plan above: once you have paid, the payment is final. We do not refund because the classroom was not what you expected, you did not get round to it, or you changed your mind. So read the classroom's page before you pay — the topics, the price and the length of access are all on it — and ask the lecturer anything you are unsure about first.
The one exception is the same one as above — a failure rather than a change of mind. If a lecturer abandons a classroom — stops answering, removes the material, or never adds what the page described — tell us. If we agree, we refund the unused part of your access. That is our responsibility, because you paid us and not the lecturer, and it is not something we will ask you to take up with them.
After your access runs out, your ticks and your place in the discussion stay where they are, and you can buy access again. Doing so adds to whatever time you have left, so buying early costs you nothing. Nothing renews by itself.
If you are still unhappy
Write to support@learnmap.in and say so. We would far rather sort it out directly than have you raise a dispute with your bank, and we will look at any case on its merits even where this policy says no.
